Since its inception in Tripoli in 2008, “Albaraka Food Industries” has grown into one of the largest and most successful companies in Libya. It started off as “Albaraka Vegetable Oil Refinery and Filling” producing Corn Oil, Sunflower Oil, Palm Oil, Soybean Oil, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil with two top of the art Italian and French bottles lines. Reacting to increasing demand, with the installation of the third line in 2012, the company became the Libyan market leader of consumable oils.In 2013 Albaraka Food Industries expanded its activities to other food categories like pasta, rice, tea and confectionary.

Before all these, Gracious Allah give us the opportunity to make our dream true, imagination also became reality, far off became closer. Our products and raw materials thereof continue in esteemed standards. Our plant started its operations in 1989 at the 7th Street, Souk Thulatha area, Tripoli city. The production processes started its cycle under the care of superintendents who keep into consideration the principles necessary to follow in paint industry, laying their hands on ambitious objectives, seeking implementing such aims saving no efforts for achieving what they look forward to.Some of the objectives are as follows:

In cooperation with the employees of the company and local partners in community where we operate, we managed to restart of production, and secure jobs and payment of salaries for all workers. During the revolution, Asamer Company supplied humanitarian aids to its workers by providing these aids to Benghazi and Derna hospitals. The Libyan Iron and steel is considered one of the largest industrial companies in Libya , located on an area of 1,200 hectares near the town of Misrata , just 210 kilometres to the east of the city of Tripoli . The design capacity of the company's 1.324 million tons of liquid steel per annum adopting direct reduction of iron pellets using domestic natural gas . The foundation stone was laid for the company in 18/09/1979 , marking the award of heavy manufacturing base in Libya .
