About DFCU bank:

is a fast growing commercial bank offering a variety of innovative products and services. DFCU Limited was started by the Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC) of the United Kingdom and the Government of Uganda through the Uganda Development Corporation (UDC) under the name of Development Finance Company of Uganda Limited. Later restructuring brought in DEG (of Germany) and International Finance Corporation (IFC) as equal partners with CDC and UDC, each having a 25% stake in the company. Its objective was to support long-term development projects whose financing needs and risk did not appeal to the then existing financial commercial lending institutions

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • In line with the approved budget, meet foreign exchange and trading budgets through profitable dealings with the retail/branch customers of the Bank.
  • Keep the running foreign exchange and money market blotters with a view of learning position keeping and risk controls.
  • Keep in daily contact with retail customers.
  •  The incumbent will grow treasury business in line with overall strategic business growth objectives.
  • Work closely with Risk and Control department to ensure accurate foreign exchange and money market reports are being submitted to Bank of Uganda.
  • Carry out dealing processes within treasury operations procedures by ensuring that all approved dealing and settlement procedures are followed.

Required Qualifications

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant for the DFCU Bank Treasury Sales Dealer-CB job opportunity must hold a University Degree in Business discipline.
  • One year of banking experience
  • Extensive knowledge of treasury and general banking products
  • Good selling skills
  • Excellent numeric and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of current financial and economic issues to facilitate correct interpretation of market trends and forecast future developments.
  • High degree of integrity
  • Ability to work under pressure
