About Us:
The Embassy of Ireland is a diplomatic mission that represents the economic, political, cultural and social interests of the Government of Ireland in Uganda. It is responsible for implementing and overseeing Irish Aid Uganda Development Programme, catering for the consular needs of Irish citizens in Uganda and promoting cultural interaction between Ireland and Uganda.
Required Qualifications
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Irish Embassy HIV/AIDS Advisor career vacancy should hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field (Behavioural Sciences, Public health, Development Studies and other related fields).
- A minimum of five years of specific post qualification experience and 3 current references at the same level in a similar role with a bi-lateral, multi -lateral organisation, Government or NGO.
- Previous exposure and experience in strong programme planning, implementation, management and monitoring skills.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of the national, regional and global HIV and SRH context.
- Ability to work as part of a team and in partnership with other stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience and knowledge of the Karamoja sub-region is desired
