About US:
Share An Opportunity (SAO) Uganda is a Christian child centered Non-government organization. It envisions a holistically developed child within the community.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage high quality implementation of SAO programmes, in accordance with the Strategic Plan and other related programme designs.
- Plan and design programme documents and activities.
- Supervise programme implementation at all projects to ensure that programme’s strategic objectives are met.
- Conduct periodic reviews and assessment of project implementation of planned activities.
- Oversee the development of organisational proposals.
- Resource mobilisation.
- Prepare and ensure timely reports are presented to the National Director.
- Provide backstopping services to the Regional Centres.
- Ensure training of staff on the different levels of the programme approaches or design.
- Develop programme tools at different levels of the programme design.
- Ensure regular and periodic monitoring and evaluation of programme activities.
- Ensure that all programme activities are in line with the organisational goals and objectives.
- Ensure that programme resources are allocated appropriately.
- Review and approve quarterly work plans and financial requests from regions before sending to Finance department.
- Oversee and supervise the operations of the regions.
- Participate in the management and development of the organisation as a whole through routine information sharing with the National Management Team.
- Build and manage relationships within SAO, and with local authorities and other stakeholders to optimise grant funding opportunities.
- Carry out any other assignments as management may direct.
Required Qualifications
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold an honours degree in Development studies, Social Sciences, SWASA or the equivalent plus post-graduate degree in Management or MA or MBA with a bias in Development or Project planning and Management.
- A minimum of seven years of related working experience in development and resource mobilisation Management, four of which should have been in a managerial position.
