For 20 years, Rene has emerged as Uganda’s leading pharmaceutical company and now one of the most respected pharmaceutical names across the East African region. Rene is dedicated to the development, production and sale of high quality generic and branded pharmaceutical products. We produce a variety of pharmaceutical dosage forms, which include tablets, capsules, liquid, pessaries and Beta-lactam preparations. The industry currently manufactures 140 products with more in the pipeline. Our products circulate in the following than five countries in the East African region: Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda, South of Sudan and Zambia.
Our History
Headquartered in Kampala, Rene Industries began its journey of pharmaceutical excellence in 1996. The company had a humble beginning as Rene Pharmacy Limited, which imported and distributed pharmaceutical products. The founding directors Mr. Rishi Vadodaria, a MBA graduate and his wife Dr. Meera Vadodaria, a pharmacist identified the need for the local production of quality generic and branded medicines to fulfill the health needs of Uganda and it’s neighboring countries. Today, the company has grown exponentially to become the leading manufacturer of quality pharmaceutical formulations for the entire East African region.
