About us

The Endiama EP is the National Company of Prospecting, Exploration, Lapidary and Angola Diamond Trading and was created January 15, 1981, as exclusive concessionary of mining rights in the field of diamonds.

The Company is the successor of Diamang, a joint venture company, established in 1917, in the period of validity of the Portuguese colonization in Angola, which operated until 1986.

SERVICES

Artisanal production of diamonds

The artisanal diamond market is being implemented in the provinces of Lunda-norte, Lunda-sul, Moxico, Bie and Malanje and is expected to expand to other provinces of our country.

ENDIAMA manages the process in a sustainable manner based on values of "excellence, innovation and respect for the communities" so that the process would result in a real benefit to the Angolan people involved.

DEFINITION

The Diamonds Artisanal exploration is the exploration activity with exclusive use of methods and artisanal means, not mechanized and no industrial mining technology.

Under the guidelines of the Executive, project implementation artisanal diamond mining opens up new perspectives and also presents new challenges in order to:

1. Mitigate the illegal immigration focuses on the border between Angola 

and rdc; 2. integrate and transform artisanal residents of the traditional areas of exploration on small business; 3. go to Angola organizational experience under the Kimberley process.

The exercise of artisanal mining of diamonds activity is allowed by a title called "mining pass" issued by the Ministry of Geology and Mines.

This activity phase out the existing mining, originated by the DRC population flow to Angola, fruits of the existence of a long border between the two countries, the population imbalance between the two neighboring states and of the most attractive economic indicators existing in Angola.

Note that the tax reduction measure to apply this activity will also help to stem the illegal exit of diamonds from Angola across the borders with neighboring countries.

With this new challenge, logistics companies are being accredited for the support of this activity. In addition, they will be directed the income from craft to other benefits, such as small shops, canteens, etc. to business sustainability, since diamonds are non-renewable resources.

 PROCEDURES AND DOCUMENTS

Procedures for Obtaining Minera Password

•Being National Citizen,

•18+ Age;

•Live more than five years in the communes surrounding areas for artisanal mining;

•Request addressed to the Minister of Geology and Mines and delivered in Directions provinces through the Municipal Administrations.

Necessary documents

•Photocopy of ID

•Residence certificate

•Criminal record or certificate integrity

•Three (3) photos

•Copy of tax card

•Nominal list of the members of the working team with three passport-size photographs and photocopy of ID

SODIAM - Marketing

The SODIAM - Society of Angola Diamond Trade is a subsidiary of Endiama EP, created in 1999 to act in the marketing sector, replacing the existing model until the late 90s, which was based on a large number of operators, mostly illegal intermediaries.

In this new model, we intend to organize and oversee the marketing process of rough diamonds produced in Angola, with a special focus on international markets:

Its position in Angola has also been strengthened with the direct participation in the consortium that gave rise to the company Angola Polishing Diamonds SA (ODA), responsible for opening the first Lapidary Factory Angola Diamond, in November 2005.

The Angola Polishing Diamonds stems from a strategic decision of the Government of Angola to withdraw the Angolan diamonds all economic results that this natural product power, thus controlling the whole value chain of this business.

This factory, located in one of the new zones of Luanda (Talatona), with an estimated investment of about 10 million US dollars and equipped with the latest technology in the cutting area, with capacity to house about 600 workers and a capacity of processing valued at 20 Million Americans solar per month, so prefazendo a total of about 240 million US dollars per year.
