Endeavour Mining Coorperation

Endeavour Mining is an intermediate gold producer delivering growth. Endeavour Mining owns four gold mines producing 500,000 ounces per year in Mali, Ghana, Burkina Faso, and Côte d’Ivoire, and with the newly acquired Ity Mine becoming its fifth mine the gold production rate increases to 580,000 ounces per year.

In addition, the Houndé Project in Burkina Faso is fully permitted and has a 2.1 million ounce reserve and the potential to produce 190,000 ounces per year over 10 years.

Endeavour Mining Corporation is listed on the TSX (symbol EDV) and ASX (symbol EVR), and also trades on the OTCQX (symbol EDVMF).

 

YOUGA GOLD MINE, BURKINA FASO

The Youga Gold Mine is located approximately 180 km southeast of Ouagadougou, the capital city of Burkina Faso and is accessible by paved and laterite roads. Endeavour holds a 90% interest in Burkina Mining Company (BMC) which has been granted the rights to exploit the Youga Gold Deposit. The remaining 10% of BMC is held by the Government of Burkina Faso.

 

Youga commenced operations in 2008 with open pit mining and gravity/CIL processing facilities and during the period to end of 2014 a total of 537,621 oz of gold had been recovered from the mining and processing of 6.38 million tonnes of ore from the A2Main, A2East, A2West1, 2 and 3 pits. The plant capacity is one million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) and the average gold recovery is anticipated to remain steady at 93-94%.

 

Neil Woodyer, CEO

Neil Woodyer is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Endeavour. He is responsible for implementing the Corporation’s strategic growth plan and co-ordinating and directing the management team. Mr. Woodyer has extensive experience in the mining sector developing, implementing and financing strategic growth plans. His experience in the natural resource business spans more than 30 years, including as Chief Executive Officer of Lloyds International Trading, a subsidiary of Lloyds Bank plc specializing in project and trade finance and commodity trading and of Amalgamated Metal Corporation plc’s group of New York and Latin America-based metal trading and mining finance companies. Mr. Woodyer is a director of Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

 

Adriaan "Attie" Roux, COO

Attie Roux is the Chief Operating Officer of Endeavour Mining and is responsible for the management of the Group’s mines in West Africa. Prior to that he was General Manager of Adamus Resources and Senior Vice President - Operations of Endeavour Mining. Mr. Roux is a metallurgical engineer with over 38 years extensive General Management experience in the mining industry, including 34 years with Anglo American, De Beers and AngloGold, specializing in the developing, commissioning, expansion, restructuring and operating of large scale mining and processing operations throughout South Africa and West Africa. Before leaving AngloGold, he held the position of Divisional General Manager and Head of Metallurgy. Mr. Roux is a Registered Professional Scientist with the SA Council for Natural Scientific Professions.

Ota Hally, CFO

Mr. Hally joined Endeavour in early 2014 as Vice President - Group Controller. He is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst with over 12 years’ experience in the mining industry. Prior to joining Endeavour, Mr. Hally was the Director of Finance for Pan American Silver, the second-largest primary silver mining company in the world and held operational roles at producing gold mines in South America with Meridian Gold, prior to and subsequent to their acquisition by Yamana Gold. Mr. Hally obtained his accountancy designation in the assurance practices of KPMG in Canada and the US, specializing in Natural Resources.

 

Douglas Bowlby, Executive VP Corporate Development

Mr. Bowlby is responsible for the analysis of corporate transactions, assisting with transaction implementation, and contributing to the growth of the company. Mr. Bowlby joined Endeavour in 1996 and has a strong analytical background and wide range of natural resource transaction experience in merchant banking, corporate finance and M&A. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute.

 

Morgan Carroll, Executive

VP Corporate Finance & General Counsel

Mr. Carroll joined Endeavour in 2008 and has wide range of transactional experience in mining, including bank and capital markets financings and M&A. He previously spent seven years practicing law in the finance group at Mayer Brown International LLP in London and New York, and is admitted as an Attorney in the State of New York, and as a Solicitor in England & Wales.

Jeremy Langford, Executive VP Construction Services

 

Mr. Langford holds an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from RMIT University and has worked in the mining and oil and gas industries for the past 15 years. He has extensive experience in many countries including Ghana, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Mali, Norway, Indonesia, Russia, South Korea and Australia. Most recently Mr. Langford successfully managed the construction and delivery of the Nzema and Agbaou projects for Endeavour. Currently he is managing Endeavour’s Houndé Project in Burkina Faso, coupled with Endeavour’s in-house Construction Services Group.

 

Doug Reddy, Executive VP Business Development

Mr. Reddy has over 28 years of industry experience in exploration, mine geology, resource development and consulting in base and precious metals. He has been with Endeavour since 2006 working extensively on technical services, business development and investor relations. Mr. Reddy is a registered professional geoscientist (P.Geo. APEGBC) and a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

 

Richard Thomas, Executive VP Technical Services

Mr. Thomas has over 20 years’ experience in open pit and underground mining and was previously VP Mining for Continental Africa for Anglogold. He has a BSc Mining Engineering degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and is a Professional Engineer registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa. Mr. Thomas has worked in Southern Africa, Central and South East Asia and West Africa in gold, diamonds and base metals.

Gérard de Hert, VP Exploration

 

Gérard de Hert has more than 17 years of experience in mining and exploration in West and Central Africa. Prior to joining Endeavour, he served in senior roles at Vale, IAMGOLD and Anglogold Ashanti in Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal and Mali. He holds a Master in Mineral Exploration from Leicester University in the UK and a Master in Mineralogy & Geology from Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium. Mr. de Hert is registered with the European Federation of Geologists (EurGeol) as professional geoscientist.

Michael E. Beckett, Chairman, Non-executive Director

 

Michael E. Beckett has some 40 years’ experience in the mining sector and he has been involved in the development of some of the largest gold mines in the world, in Africa and Papua New Guinea; iron ore mines in West Australia; industrial minerals in the Ukraine, Russia and Indonesia; and platinum in South Africa. As a former of chair of Ashanti Goldfields Ltd. and former Managing Director of Consolidated Gold Fields plc, Mr. Beckett has extensive knowledge of mining in Africa. Mr. Beckett is a non-executive Director of International Hotels Investment Ltd., Northam Platinum Ltd., Orica Ltd., Petroamerica Oil Corporation and The Egypt Trust Ltd.

 

Ian Cockerill, Non-executive Director

Ian has nearly 40 years of experience in the mining industry, having previously been responsible for business development in AngloGold, and chief executive officer of both Gold Fields Ltd and AngloCoal, between 1999 and 2009. He is currently chairman of Petmin Ltd, a JSE mining company concentrating on bulk commodities, a non-executive director of Orica Ltd in Australia, the senior lead independent director of Ivanhoe Mines Ltd, a non-executive director at Endeavour Mining Corporation. In addition, he is chairman of Leadership for Conservation in Africa, a not-for-profit organisation promoting sustainable employment opportunities linked to conservation projects across the African continent.

 

Frank Giustra, Non-executive Director

Mr. Giustra is President and CEO of Fiore Financial Corporation, a private firm managing a broad portfolio of private equity investments. Mr. Giustra has an established track record of building natural resource companies through access to capital and creative deal-making. As President and later Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Yorkton Securities in the 1990s, he grew the firm into a leading natural resource investment bank. As Chairman of Endeavour Financial from 2001 to 2007, his vision and leadership led to the successful launch of numerous resource companies, including Wheaton River Minerals Ltd. (acquired by Goldcorp Inc.) and Silver Wheaton Corporation. Mr. Giustra’s entrepreneurial successes also include the founding of Lionsgate Entertainment Corporation, now one of the world’s largest independent film companies.

 

Mr. Giustra is a strong believer in philanthropy, and devotes much of his time to a variety of causes. In 1997, he established The Radcliffe Foundation; which supports a wide variety of international and local charities. In 2007, Frank Giustra and Former President Bill Clinton launched the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership, alleviating poverty in the developing world through education, training and supply chain distribution.

 

Mr. Giustra is a board member of Lionsgate Entertainment, Endeavour Mining, Petromanas Energy and Thunderbird Films. In addition, he sits on boards of the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership, The Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Foundation, International Crisis Group, and Streetohome Foundation.

 

Ian Henderson, Non-executive Director

Ian Henderson was Managing Director at JP Morgan Asset Management and managed JPMorgan’s Natural Resources Funds for over twenty years until January 2012. Most recently he acted as a consultant to JP Morgan advising the Global Equities Team on Natural Resources equities. An employee since 1991, he was previously responsible for international portfolios and has extensive knowledge of the mining and oil and gas industries. Previously, Mr. Henderson spent nine years as director and chief investment officer at Wardley Investment Services International Limited. Prior to this, he served five years as an international portfolio manager involved in business development in London and New York for Morgan Grenfell & Co. Mr. Henderson began his career as an accountant with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. He holds an LLB in Scots Law and an MA in Philosophy and Politics from Edinburgh University. He is also an ACA and FCA.

 

Wayne McManus, Non-executive Director

Wayne McManus has extensive work experience in the private banking sector, providing accounting and wealth management services for high net worth clients. He has an LLM in taxation, a JD, and an MBA and has more than 20 years of academic experience in the accounting field. He is a Certified Public Accountant, holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.

 

Miguel Rodriguez, Non-executive Director

Mr. Rodriguez has extensive experience in the private, public and academic sectors. He is currently a Director of several international companies in the natural resources area, including Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. where he has been a Director since its foundation. In the financial sector, he is currently the Director of D.Societe Financiere in Geneva. In the public sector, Mr. Rodriguez was the Economic Minister and Chief of the Economic Cabinet of the Republic of Venezuela from 1989 to 1992. He was also President of the Central Bank of Venezuela in 1992, and Governor to the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the Inter-American Development Bank during 1989-1992. From 1992-1994, he was Senior Advisor to the World Bank. He also had a long academic career as Professor of Economics at IESA in Caracas from 1984 to 2008.
