About Non-State Actors Unit
The Non-State Actors Unit (NSA) of the Ministry of Social Security, National Solidarity and Senior Citizens Welfare & Reform Institutions has been set up in November 2009 and has been officially launched on the occasion of the International Volunteer Day on 5 December 2009. The Ministry is having the full support of UNDP on this project. The main functions of the NSA Unit are as follows:
(i) Building capacity of NGOs;
(ii) Providing adequate financial/technical support for programme implementation;
(iii) Setting up of a professional corps of paid volunteers for NGOs to tap into; and
(iv) An appropriate monitoring and evaluation system for programmes.
