Modjo Modern Export Abattoir plc was established in the year 1999/2000 GC in the strategically located town of Modjo, which is about 72 kms south east of Addis Ababa the capital city of Ethiopia that lead to the three major sources of livestock Oromia, Afar and Somali regions. The company is the second generation in the livestock industry next to the Mother Company which has long been involved in the hide and skin business in which it has played a significant role in bringing a substantial amount of foreign exchange for the country.
