The Discover Cameroon Tour

This is a breathtaking sprint tour round Cameroon. You will get to see the best in Cameroon and watch how people, wildlife, vegetation and landscape change from one place to another. From the Korup reserve to the Waza National park, passing through the Benoué park, the Limbe bootanical garden and zoo (Wildlife center), Debundcha (the wettest place on earth) nature will reveal all its secrets to you. You will see for yourself the Lobe and Ekom falls, you will have the opportunity to discover the rich culture of the grassfield's people as well as the intriguing skills of the Baaka pygmies. At the end of this tour, you will know why Cameroon is often referred to as Africa in one country ("Africa in miniature"). 

The Grassfield Cultural (Ring Road) Tour

The Western and North-western regions of Cameroon are well appreciated for their landscape, but also for their rich culture. The culture in this region is centered around craft, traditional dances and clothing.This exhibit itself in the form of the fons' palaces, architecture in typical villages, as well as the numerous arts museums which are found in the area. The Sultanate of Foumban is something that will catch your attention, as well as the Bandjoun chiefdom. Nature will reveal itself to you, as we drive through this region with fantastic landscape at sight, combined to the Menchum and the Station waterfalls in Bamenda. 

The Savana - Safari Tour

This tour takes you from the south to the north of Cameroon by train, giving you a unique view over the rich landscape of the country. Then you arrive at the heart of the northern part of Cameroon. You will have the opportunity of discovering the cultural diversity of north Cameroon; the kingdoms (Lamidat) of these regions are beautifully constructed, each having its cavalery of warriors, horse ridding, Fantasia and breath-taking traditional dances. This part of Cameroon is also home to many natural ressources, the Koza hills, the water-falls of Lancrenon (100m) and that of Tello (45m). This tour is also made up of a trips to two national park: the Waza national park and the Benoué national park. You will find lions, girafes, elephants, monkeys, etc. Please, note that it is best to start this tour on a Monday, it is however not compulsory. Do not hesitate to contact us if you need to discuss certain issues. 

The Equatorial Forest (Pygmies-Gorillas) Tour

This tour takes you to the heart of the equatorial forest and its inhabitants; the pygmies. You will have an opportunity to witness how they live in their environment. You will also visit the nearby Lobeke National Park which has a huge eco-tourism reputation due to the diversity of the species found which include: gorillas, bufallo, elephants, giant forest hog, red river hog, the yellow-backed duiker, the bongo antelope, etc. You will the opportunity to watch (from the watch-towers) these animals in their natural environment just some meters away from you. It is good to note that one can spend the night in such watch-towers.

The pygmies are widely known for their hunting techniques, their architecture (building their huts with tree branches and leaves) their traditional medicine and of course, their traditional dances.

You have been wondering what a normal day for a typical african family looks like? Discover Cameroon Tours gives you the opportunity to live with a family during your stay in Cameroon. You can truly directly take part in cultural exchange. Learn it by yourself!

You have the opportunity to share the home activities, meals, distractions, etc. Of course, you are an individual and master of yourself, so you get to do the things that you want to do, but you are also expected to respect the rules of the "house". 

We have many options for this tour; family-size, family income, young or old couple, number of children. The length of this program depends on you and where (city) you want to live in. However, we do not place visitors in home for more than 4 weeks. If you want to be more than 4 weeks, we will have to place you in different homes at different points in time.
