CREST Solar (Pty) Ltd was established in 2009 with the sole purpose of developing a solar water geyser for Africa at a fraction of the historical cost of conventionally manufactured solar water geysers. It has subsequently developed a 100% polymer (plastic) Solar Water geyser – a first in the world, and manufactured in South Africa. Local solar water heater factories will create jobs and reduce carbon emissions due to the supply of solar geysers rather than electrical geysers.
