Ghana’s first female elections chief has scoffed at recent allegations by a section of staff that she was abusing her office in respect of procurement and some administrative procedures.

A petition has been presented to President Akufo-Addo calling for her dismissal. She in turn has asked that the petition be dismissed.

She told local media portals that she was waiting to hear from the presidency stressing her preparedness to defend the claims she described as “product of an overactive evil imagination.”
