The Kom Aushim Museum, also known as Karanis Site Museum, is a two-story archaeological museum near the entrance of the ancient city of Karanis in Fayoum. Originally established in 1974 and reopened after restoration, it presents collections from prehistoric, pharaonic, Graeco-Roman, Coptic and Islamic periods, including mummy portraits and artifacts that illuminate the daily life, beliefs and traditions of the Fayoum Oasis. It is one of the key heritage museums in Fayoum Governorate.
