The Arab Organization for Industrialization is a state-owned industrial organization headquartered at Kilo 17 on the Misr–Suez Road in Cairo and was founded in 1975 to develop advanced defense and high-technology industries for Egypt and the wider Arab region. The products and services offered include the design and manufacture of a broad portfolio of defense systems such as military vehicles, missile systems, aircraft components and electronics, as well as civilian products including rolling stock, infrastructure equipment, renewable energy solutions, water treatment systems, consumer electronics and transport technologies. The activities include managing a group of specialized factories and companies, partnering with international technology providers, executing major industrial projects, localizing manufacturing for strategic sectors like transportation and energy, and exporting Egyptian industrial products to markets across the Arab world and Africa. The Arab Organization for Industrialization has been in existence since 1975 and is widely recognized as one of Egypt’s largest and most diverse industrial platforms, combining military and civilian production in Cairo to support national development, industrial localization and export-oriented growth.
