Almaza Air Base is a military air base of the Egyptian Air Force located in Heliopolis, Cairo Governorate. It was established in the 1920s as a civilian aerodrome, later designated as RAF Almaza under British control, and today serves as a key military airfield under the Egyptian Ministry of Defense. The base hosts multiple air force divisions and squadrons, including VIP squadrons, search & rescue units, transport and navigation-training units, making it a strategic facility for military, training and VIP operations.
