Cement Company of Northern Nigeria Plc (CCNN), popularly known as Sokoto Cement, was incorporated in 1962 and operated its cement plant on Kalambaina Road in Sokoto where it supplied bulk and bagged cement across Northern Nigeria; following regulatory approvals the company merged with BUA Group’s Obu Cement to create BUA Cement Plc, which was listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange on January 9, 2020, while the Kalambaina plant and CCNN legacy operations continue within the enlarged BUA Cement group serving construction, infrastructure and retail distributors throughout Sokoto State and beyond.
