Official national body for nurses and midwives in Nigeria with Abuja headquarters and member services. The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) was formed on 8 December 1977 to unite nurses and midwives under one national umbrella and today serves as the recognized professional-cum-trade union for registered practitioners across Nigeria; from its national secretariat in Abuja it advocates for members’ welfare, professional standards, and active participation in health policy. The association supports members through membership services, training, publications and sector advocacy that promote safe practice and high-quality patient care at primary, secondary and tertiary levels nationwide. Its website provides information on membership, journals and news for nurses and midwives across all states of the federation.
