The Institute of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry (“ISAE” for its French acronym - “Institut Supérieur d’Agriculture et d’Elevage”) was established in 1989 government of Rwanda as an autonomous institution of higher education, under the Ministry of Education with its own governing council. The law establishing the creation and organization of ISAE was published in the official gazette no 17 bis of September 1st 2003. ISAE original mission was created to train highly qualified specialists, technicians, engineers as well as veterinary doctors, in various fields of agriculture and animal husbandry to serve the country and beyond
