Major provincial tertiary teaching hospital serving KZN & Eastern Cape. Established in 1936, King Edward VIII Hospital (now Victoria Mxenge Hospital) is a large tertiary hospital in Durban. With over 900 beds, it serves KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape. It provides orthopaedics, ICU, paediatrics, obstetrics, physiotherapy, social work, and radiology.
