ARASA is a Cape Town‑based regional NGO founded in 2002, advocating HIV/AIDS rights and human rights across Southern and East Africa through policy, capacity building and coalition partnerships. ARASA was established in 2002 and has a regional office in Cape Town, South Africa. It is a civil society partnership working across Southern and East Africa in 18 countries to advance HIV/AIDS and human rights advocacy, capacity building and policy research. Programmes include advocacy for bodily autonomy, key populations and gender equality. Unique: regional coalition model combining health, law and human rights with grassroots activism and policy influence.
