Founded in 1969, Diabetes South Africa (member of the International Diabetes Federation since 1976) is the national association representing people with diabetes. Offers advocacy for healthcare policy, community education, screening, camps for type‑1 youth, wellness groups, workshops and support networks via branches in all provinces. Unique for national wellness groups, camp programmes and linkage to IDF global networks.
