Founded in December 2014, Tanzania Concrete Poles Manufacturing Company Limited – better known as TCPM – is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited.

The company was formed to produce and develop the use of concrete poles in Tanzania. This came about in response to the ever increasing problems associated with premature failure of wood utility poles, that leads to frequent and lengthy power and communications interruptions.

TCPM operates as a stand-alone commercial company and is expected to perform and deliver entirely in accordance with general corporate standards.

Currently, the company, together with its associated manufacturing plant, produces a range or low- and high-voltage hollow-section prestressed spun concrete utility poles in a range of diameters and heights.&n
