NGO Africa Watch was founded by a group of dedicated and passionate non-state stakeholders dotted around Africa. In 2017 an online website was created, out of the conviction of reporting on developmental issues on the ground that include education, health, agriculture and food security, environment, women and youth, disabilities, local governance as well as crises that could help inform and educate the people in mitigating future crises and assisting organisations to improve their information distribution to their respective communities.
