ZNCWC – Leading Advocate for Child Rights in Zimbabwe
The Zimbabwe National Council for the Welfare of Children (ZNCWC) serves as the national umbrella organization for child rights advocacy in Zimbabwe. Since its establishment in 1968, ZNCWC has led efforts to promote and protect the welfare of children living in vulnerable and challenging conditions.
As the official coordinator of the Child Rights Coalition in Zimbabwe, ZNCWC focuses on key strategic areas including policy advocacy, capacity building for child-focused organizations, quality assurance in child welfare programs, promotion of child participation, and evidence-based research to support children’s rights initiatives.
Through partnerships with stakeholders, civil society, and government agencies, ZNCWC provides guidance and oversight to ensure that child protection and development programs across the country are impactful, inclusive, and aligned with both national and international child rights frameworks.
By fostering collaboration and amplifying the voices of children, ZNCWC plays a critical role in shaping a child-friendly Zimbabwe where every child can grow up in a safe, supportive, and empowering environment.
