Welcome to the official website of Embassy of Japan in Uganda. It is an honour for me to introduce myself. I am Junzo Fujita, Japanese Ambassador to Uganda. I arrived in Uganda in September 2013. First of all I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Japanese people living in Uganda and the people of Uganda for their heartfelt sympathy and warm encouragement over the Great East Japan Earthquake which occurred in March 2011. Uganda and Japan last year marked the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties and I am pleased to note that our bilateral relations are increasingly growing stronger, not only between our two governments but also in the private sector. My mission therefore is to further expand and enhance this friendly relationship between Uganda and Japan.
