Great Lakes Regional College is owned by the Child to Family Community Development Organization (CHIFCOD), a local NGO that was founded by Hon. Rev. Canon. Dr. Hamlet Mbabazi Kabushenga. The college is a Christian non denominational, equal opportunity college dedicated to the honest pursuit of knowledge, skills, and academic Excellence. Its central focus is on the provision of tertiary education to students and so empowers them to transform their communities from backwardness to holistic prosperity. Found in south western Uganda, 80km from kabale towards Bwindi impenetrable forest or 64km from Rukungiri town. The college offers degrees, diplomas and certificate courses and is presently affiliated towards university for the awards of degree since the college is allowed to award diplomas and certificates.
