(APU) is a Regional non-political, non-profit making and multi-racial Organization (NGO) that looks at peace as a fundamental element of human existence. “If you want peace, you don't talk to your friends. You talk to your enemies” (Archbishop Desmon Tutu). It is therefore apparent that this Organization intends to bring on board values that peace comes with. This is a very fundamental point to the Organization and people of Uganda and East African Community (EAC) in particular; some of them have been in war for a long time and are still in such condition of living in their communities.This NGO endeavors to bring on board a range of activities like Peace education, advocacy for Democracy and campaign for justice and human rights, to bring about reconciliation, restore dignity in situations where that is taken away, and to enable the conditions for a genuine and just peace.
