History Action for Community Development started in Kasese as a Community Based Organization in response to contributing to the alleviation of challenges created by HIV/AIDS scourge and mitigating the adverse effects of war both perpetrated in Uganda and the spillovers from across the border in Eastern Congo in 2003. The strategies we employed at the time to address these challenges recognized the need for communities to rebuild, re-inspire and re-empower these broken communities.
