CAfH is an indigenous Ugandan organization founded in 2009. Its work focuses on promoting community nutrition, health and food security, especially among communities that are affected by adverse health and nutrition problems. CAfH was founded by a group of nutritionists who have extensive experience in implementation of community health and nutrition projects. The group leader Professor John H. Muyonga has led health and nutrition surveys for four districts in Northern Uganda. He has also led several nutrition and health intervention programs, including two nutrition and health education projects funded by the UN WFP aimed at alleviating malnutrition and health problems in Northern and North Eastern Uganda. The other founder members, Richard Bukenya, Sophie Nansereko and Richard Bakaluba have from 3-7 years experience in community health and nutrition projects, including working with Ministry of Health, Districts, and NGOs.
