Conservation Efforts for Community Development. CECOD is a Non Governmental Organization founded in 1999 to empower communities in Uganda for popular participation in conservation of the environment for Sustainable Community Development. CECOD promotes Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Uganda and empowers people, especially the youth, to lift themselves out of poverty. CECOD enhances the profile of education and learning in the common pursuit of sustainable development.
