About Deaf Action Uganda
Deaf action Uganda (DAU) is a non-governmental, non-for-profit and non-denominational Christian Deaf Organization involved in the spreading of the word of God and the empowerment of Deaf people in Uganda. Deaf Action Uganda is affiliated with Deaf Ministries International (DMI).
DAU was established in 1993 by David Bulime from Uganda in cooperation with an Australian-Norwegian couple Neville and Lill Muir, who were the founders of Deaf Ministries International. Beginning as World Opportunity International, it later changed names to Deaf Ministries International Uganda and then to Deaf Action Uganda.
