Our purpose is to preach the gospel and lead the lost and hurting to Christ for church Membership, instruct them in Worship, guide them to Christ-like Maturity, and equip them for their Ministry in the church and on the Mission field that the kingdom of God be glorified. God called our Sr. Pastors, David and Martha Cochran, to the City of La Porte on April 9th 1985. After a few short months La Porte Worship Center was birthed. Our first sanctuary was located at 215 South Broadway. God promised Pastors David and Martha that He would stand with them and He would be faithful to fill the church with His presence and the people would come. He has been faithful to fulfill that promise throughout the past 30 years. In 1991 God called this church to a mission field in Pará, Brazil, where we have labored for over 25 years.
