About Volunteer Action Network
The Volunteer Action Network (VacNet) is a non-profit organization situated in Gulu. It was established in 2005 by a group of committed volunteers who live and serve in the region, they realize the worsening situation of the rural poor, especially women who are adversely affected by the Socio-economic imbalance and yet constitute a greater labor force for production.
VacNet is rural inclined and aims at empowering underserved women in Uganda through socio-economic and health education and leadership programs, creating opportunities while strengthening families and communities. It seeks to offer women leadership and empowerment abilities required to lead successful dignified lives
