About Uganda National Association of Cerebral palsy (UNAC)
Uganda National Association of Cerebral palsy (UNAC) is a growing umbrella organisation of persons with Cerebral palsy (CP) in Uganda established in 2013 to advocate for the rights of persons with CP. UNAC is legally registered with NGO board a government organ that is charged with registration and monitoring the operations of NGOs in Uganda. UNAC provides a strong voice for a common cause, particularly to defend, protect and promote the rights and advocate for equal opportunity for people with Cerebral palsy in Uganda. UNAC’s programs includes: Identification and mobilization of persons with cerebral palsy and their parents/care givers, Capacity building, Economic empowerment, lobbing and advocacy, Networking, community rehabilitation, collaboration and resource mobilization. The membership of UNAC comprises of people with CP and parents/care givers of children with CP.
