About Midwestern Regional Centre for Democracy and Human Rights - MICOD
Mid-Western Region Centre for Democracy and Human Rights – MICOD is a national NGO registered with the Uganda National NGO Board (Current NGO Registration Bureau as per the NGO Act Amendment 2016} The organization started in 2008 as a civil society platform aimed at positioning citizens and civil society into sustainable environmental usage and advocating for human and democratic rights including environmental rights, was registered in 2009. It has since then been involved in human rights awareness, civic education, voter education, environmental conservation and advocacy around environment, Strengthened Citizens’ participation in health and education service delivery in refugee host communities and natural resources as well as oil and gas governance advocacy.
