Akagera national park is under the management of African Parks Organfization unlike Volcanoes national park and Nyungwe national park that are under the Rwanda Development Board. African parks took on the responsibility of managing Akagera national park by partnering with the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) in order to shift the park’s path to development, prosperity and hope for future tourism.
