Maroons Football Club, founded in 1965, is a professional football club located in Luzira, Nakawa Division, Kampala City in Uganda, the club currently hosts its games at the Luzira Prisons Stadium with a capacity of over 5000 supporters found within the Luzira Prisons Complex. It is one of the sports Clubs born and bred by the Uganda Prisons Service and the name ‘Maroons’ is derived from the main color crescent of the Uganda Prisons ‘Maroon’ which represents the calmness and peacefulness of a correctional environment within a correctional facility.
