The Late Mr. Ambalal H. Thakkar, a chartered accountant from India, established our firm in 1939. The practice over the years developed into a highly respectable and professionally run firm with its office in Kampala. 

Presently our late founder’s son Mr. Narendra A. Thakkar, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant in England & Wales took over the practice in 1965 after the demise of his father. The practice remained dormant for the period from 1972 to 1979 during the Amin era. 

In 1979 Narendra Thakkar returned to Uganda to resurrect the firm and re-establish it as one of the top firms in the country. Narendra Thakkar is the guiding force behind the practice with an immense reservoir of knowledge and experience in all aspects of finance, audit, accountancy and tax matters and held in very high esteem by his fellow professionals. He was awarded the fellowship of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales in 1970 and ho
