RBA is Rwanda’s public service broadcaster, with a long history of more than 55 years of service to the nation through educational, informative and entertaining content. We hold today an influential role in media, boasting of various platforms through which we distribute content, and our leading example in innovative and professional journalism. In 2013, ORINFOR rebranded to become the Rwanda Broadcasting Agency. 

This marked the beginning of our transformation from being a state broadcaster to becoming a public service broadcaster with a ratification of a new mandate and law governing our organization. As a public service broadcaster, we serve as a bridge in society for communication and dialogue between citizens, government and industry leaders along with everyone else who is part of Rwanda; promoting participation, non-discrimination, transparency and accountability.

We produce news and develop programs that engage citizens in their communities.
