NOUVELAIR was founded in 1989. NOUVELAIR, Tunisia’s leading airline, is one of the foremost companies in Tunisian Travel Services, the leading Tunisian travel group. Our airline operates from more than 130 European airports across more than 30 countries, including France, Germany, Poland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium and Russia. 

In Tunisia, NOUVELAIR operates at 4 airports: Monastir, Djerba, Enfidha and Tunis. When you choose NOUVELAIR, you can fly to Europe’s major airports, such as Paris Charles de Gaulle and Lyon in France, or Düsseldorf in Germany. We also operate to Scandinavia, with airports in Göteborg-Landvetter, Stockholm-Arlanda, Copenhagen, Billund, Oslo-Gardermoen and Russia with departures from Moscow and St Petersburg.

To that end, it holds key accreditations in the field of aviation and approvals on the quality of company processes. 

The safety of aircraft operations and maintenance procedures is guaranteed by the IOSA certification and the application of IFR’s AMASIS software, in conformity with EASA PART M standards. Similarly, its subsidiary Sabena Technics, responsible for maintenance operations, holds its own EASA PART 145 accreditation, a requirement for maintenance activities on military and state aircraft.

In addition, NOUVELAIR has achieved ISO 9001 V2008 accreditation, which is a proof of its quality management principles, in particular, a strong client focus, a process-based approach and continual improvement. 

Company history

Founded under the name “Air Liberté Tunisie” in October 1989, NOUVELAIR is Tunisia’s leading private airline and a subsidiary of the French airline “Air Liberté”. Mainly a charter operator, NOUVELAIR specialises in carrying tourists to Tunisia. 

The history of our airline is marked by success and achievements, thanks to the commitment of our staff and our relationship with partners we have carefully selected.

Because of our vocation and the scope of our operations, NOUVELAIR is constantly and regularly developing.

Throughout our 25 years’ experience, we have continually invested in the renewal and modernisation of our fleet and seen significant increases in the volume of traffic.

Additionally, in 2012 we initiated a new strategic approach with the launch of regular flights to France.
