This activity is supported by the Quality Department through its Central Laboratory and its group of experts in tobacco. 

CENTRAL LABORATORY 

MISSION: 

Analyses and physico-chemical tests of raw materials and manufacturing supplies, semi-finished and finished products. 

Technical assistance to production units (quality control of proximity)

KEY ANALYSIS 

ANALYSIS PHYSICAL

Tobacco: Physical parameters (combustibility, ribs / parenchyma report, humidity, density). 

Cigarette papers: mechanical characteristics (tensile strength, tear, break) Physical characteristics (thickness, weight, porosity, brightness, humidity) aromas, fragrances and other ingredients (chromatograms, density, refractive index, .. :). 

Finished products. 

Cigarettes: physical characteristics (diameter , filter length), combustion speed, weight of the cigarette, tobacco weight, compactness, loss ends, dispersion weight, humidity, ..). 

Snuff-chew: Particle size, weight, humidity ...

CHEMICAL ANALYSIS

Cigarettes: rate of tar and nicotine, carbon monoxide (CO), filter retention rates .... 

snuff-chewing: PH, dosing of other insoluble substances, ... 

Average sample analyzes (all products): 1.500 / year 

Total Analyses 13,500 / Year

ASSISTANCE

Interventions in production units (improvement of parameters comprising 

shortcomings in cigarette products, snuff and matches -mâcher; incorporation testing 

new raw materials) and sales branches (control of finished products); 

Training agents and production technicians in the field of quality control. 

Assistance to control and grading of raw materials and suppliesimported ures.
