About Université de Douala University of Douala
The University of Douala, like seven (07) other state universities in Cameroon, was created and organized by the Presidential Decree No. 93/030 of 19 January 1993. It inherits the structures of the University Centre Douala then composed of the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC-1977) and the Ecole Normale Superieure of Technical Education (ENSET-1979), founded 28 April 1977 and then turned into University 13 April 1992, following the Decree No. 92/74 pertaining to the transformation of university centers in Universities.
