MusikGarten with Cherise Brings Children to LIFE! Teacher Cherise was one of the first in South Africa to be trained and licensed as a MusikGarten educator in 2005, just when MusikGarten opened it's doors here. She was trained and licensed by the founder and president of MusikGarten herself, Lorna Heyge Lutz. Cherise has a degree in Psychology and has completed her Grade 7 in formal piano. She has also been teaching early childhood music since 2003 and beginner piano to children and adults since 1999. Children love music and are innately drawn to it. It touches all spheres of development: Language and literacy development; pattern recognition skills, which are the basis for maths and other higher levels of thinking; even children's social and emotional development are positively impacted.
