In 2004, the BrandsEye team had a burning desire to know what consumers were saying about our clients - their brands, their campaigns, their people - you name it. It drove us to start manually look for the conversations using search engines (which was painful). We then turned to the various free services available without much luck. With an in-depth knowledge and understanding of how the Internet works, a clear view of what outcome we wanted from a monitoring solution and the development skills to make it happen, we embarked on our mission. After two years of early morning and late night development, our creation was born. In 2006, the first client using BrandsEye started paying for the service. At this stage, the Online Reputation Management (ORM) industry was virtually non-existent.
