By Dahir No. 2.75.662 of 11 Shawwal 1395 (17 October 1975) and in accordance with Royal directives aimed firstly to bring the higher education institutions for researchers and students and, on the other, to integrate university in their own environment and to promote research for the development and well-being regional and national, has been created the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fez. Before the creation of the university, already existed in Fez of Annex establishment of Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences and Legal Sciences, Economic and Social Rabat and a university city. And since its inception, the University Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah has expanded significantly both in terms of the structure and the number of establishment and that of the actual research teachers, administrative staff and students.
