OCP has a special place in Morocco’s industrial history, as the leading global exporter of phosphate ore, a market leader in phosphoric acid and a major player in solid fertilizers. This leadership has been made possible by our long history and the 94 years of experience accumulated since the formation of Office Chérifien des Phosphates in 1920.
The Company legally became the OCP Group in 1975 and a Limited Company named OCP SA in January 2008.
With phosphate rock mining and processing as our main activities since our inception, we have since become integrated across the entire phosphate value chain: from the production of fertilizer to phosphoric acid to its derivative products.
It is our industrial strategy, however, that has driven our continued growth and leadership, bolstered by a continuous strengthening of our production processes and technology and the creation of ambitious and sustainable partnerships, and supported by a prudent financial policy.
Our partnerships are comprised of both medium and long-term supply agreements, as well as joint ventures on production facility construction in Morocco and abroad.
Today, OCP is comprised of more than 15 subsidiaries and joint ventures, as well as branch offices across the globe.
We have grown from several hundred people at our creation and revenues of three million USD to revenues of 59.4 billion MAD (2012), and nearly 24,000 employees.
