Our most popular safaris on bicycle are:

1.) Banks of the Nile, 2 days / 1 night

Bikeventures Uganda offers a fab Nile Experience ride! During a 2 day mountain bike adventure you will ride a loop of approximately 60km by the banks of the River Nile. The loop will take through tropical rain forests, tea and sugar cane plantations and rural villages. You will start and end your adventure in Jinja town and spend a night at one the most stunning camp sites; The Haven River Lodge overlooking some of the most spectacular rapids of the River Nile. On your first day you will set off from Jinja early morning, and ride through lush, green rain forests with patches of scenic sugarcane and tea fields with a picnic (included). You will ride steep climbs with rewarding stunning views. In the evening you will enjoy a night by the Nile (dinner included). On your second day after breakfast (included) you will be ferried across the River Nile to the East bank. You will ride back through rural villages with some amazing views of the Nile. After lunch (included) at the popular Nile River Camp (NRE) you will enjoy a relaxing nature boat cruise where you will see beautiful birds and the local fisherman catching the fish of the day. Once arriving back on the land, you will then ride back to Jinja Town.

 Bikeventures Uganda offers a fab Nile Experience ride! During a 2 day mountain bike adventure you will ride a loop of approximately 80 km by the banks of the River Nile. The loop will take through tropical rain forests, tea and sugar cane plantations and rural villages. You cycle on the west banks through Mabira forest, tea estates and sugar cane fields, picnic, overnight stay at Bikeventures. Day 2: Early morning visit to the Source of the Nile and mountain bike ride to Itanda falls, picnic, finish at view point Itanda falls crossing by ferry. this tour can either start from Jinja town, ride north to Kalagala and back to Jinja town, or the other way around: start from Kalagala, ride south to Bikeventures in Jinja town, and back to Kalagala. This  is a hard core cycling.

2.) Ride with the rhinos, 2 days / 1 night

Bikeventures Uganda offers an awesome trip that cannot be booked anywhere else in Uganda! On the first morning of your trip, you will head to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary from Jinja, (approx. 4 hour drive). When you arrive you will be given lunch (included). Embracing the beauty of the national park you will ride in search of the rhinos.  Seeing these animals wild in the Sanctuary will take your breath away. After you have explored the rhinos by foot, you will then ride back to the lodge. You will enjoy a relaxing evening and enjoy dinner (included) at Ziwa Guesthouse. The following day you will have an early breakfast (included) and go on a Shoebill canoe. After the boat ride, you will then return back to Jinja.

Day 1: Transfer to Ziwa Sanctuary, rhino tracking. Night stay at Ziwa Guesthouse.

Day 2: Early morning, Shoebill canoe ride and transfer back to Jinja.

Inclusive: Return transport from Jinja to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, mountain bike and helmet rental, accommodation at Ziwa Guesthouse (1 night), meals (L+D+B+L), rhino bike safari, shoebill (birding) boat ride, donation to Rhino Fund Uganda, experienced tour guides and rangers.

3.) Sipi Falls Adventure, 3 days / 2 nights

Bikeventures Uganda offers a unique trip that includes, biking, hiking and exploring the beautiful waterfalls in the district of Kapchorwa. Meeting in Jinja late morning you will be given lunch. After lunch you will explore Jinja’s history by bike. The town is full of beautiful colonial buildings and you will learn why and how they were built. You will end your day at the Source of the Nile – where the second longest river in the world starts its journey of 6,600km to the Mediterranean Sea. On the second day you will start your journey to Sipi Falls that is on the flanks of Mount Elgon (4321m) – the 8th highest mountain in Africa. After lunch you will bike (or hike) to explore the beautiful waterfalls and spend the night at the luxury Sipi River Lodge. After a refreshing breakfast you will go on a 2-3 hours coffee bike (or hike) tour and learn step by step how Ugandan coffee is made, from seed to cup. Sipi Falls Arabica Coffee is some of the finest in the world, so you will certainly enjoy your own cup after this amazing hike! After, you will be transported back to Jinja.

Day 1: Jinja lunch, historical tour by bike and a visit to the Source of the Nile. Night stay in Jinja Town.

Day 2: Transport to Sipi , hike around the waterfalls.  A night stay at Sipi River Lodge.

Day 3: Breakfast, followed by a coffee tour. Return back to Jinja.
