Service Information

a)To develop and establish a policy framework for the development and administration of Web Domains in Kenya and manage the operation of critical technical functions of domain names in order to promote ?economic efficiency and social equity within the industry;

b) Act as a spokesman for and representative of the Kenyan Internet Community on all matters related domain names or Information Technology at large and promote co-operation and dialogue between itself and as a representative of the Kenyan web domain registrars, internet community, Internet service providers regulatory authorities and other interested parties;

c) To establish appropriate complaints handling and dispute resolution process to provide for conciliation or redress of grievances on matters associated with the administration domains, provide a professional body of companies and personnel engaged in Information Technology industry and all allied fields and establish standards of professional conduct therefore raising the standard and efficiency of those engaged in the profession, promote honourable practice and suppress malpractice.

d) Devise and impose means for testing the qualifications of candidates for admission to Membership of the society and Award certificates and distinctions and establish scholarships, grants, rewards and other benefactions;

e) To liaise with other associations, national and international bodies on issues relating to the development and administration of domain name systems and Information Technology industry at large, communicate common concerns with all parties and establish common positions on legal and regulatory issues affecting the Information Technology industry and influence government policies for correcting the terms of trade to make them favorable for the Information Technology industry, thereby increasing the flow of resources and augmenting the rate of capital formation in the sector;

f) Promotion of research, Dissemination of research findings, teaching, and publication of studies on information technology for public benefit and promotion of cooperation and exchanges among individuals and institutions in furtherance of the objects of the Association,

g) Do all such things as are incidental or conducive to the interests of the members, domain registrars and the Kenyan Internet community or to the attainment of the purposes set out in this constitution;
