Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization (CBAAC) is a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Culture and Information which is statutorily charged with the responsibility of promoting and propagating Black and African Cultural Heritage in its totality. The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) is the government agency that has been charged with the responsibility of migration management in Nigeria. Over the years, the NIS has witnessed series of changes since it was extracted from the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in 1958. The National Water Resources Institute, a Parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Water Resources was established in 1979 under Decree No. 3 of March 2nd, 1985, currently referred to as National Water Resources Institute Act, cap No. 83, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004. The institute being a capacity development and research organization is mandated to carry out training and retraining of water engineers, technologists and technicians in the water resources sector. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) is the national public health institute with the mandate to lead the preparedness, detection and response to infectious disease outbreaks and public health emergencies. The first formal step to establish the NCDC took place in 2011 when some departments in the Ministry of Health, including the Epidemiology Division, the Avian Influenza Project and its laboratories; and the Nigeria Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Programme (NFELTP) were moved to form the nucleus of the agency.
