Currently, the company operates two factories in Harare and Bulawayo. As part of the company’s growth and expansion strategy, a milestone was achieved on the 1st of October 2010 with the company commissioning of the $1million Bulawayo plant extruder. The upgrade of the Bulawayo tile plant extruder was Zimtile’s quest to continue and maintain dominance in the roof tile industry. The Bulawayo plant now has a capacity of producing 26,000 tiles day. The PH45HD has automatic aggregate feeding systems with electronic weighing of materials. In December 2011, another milestone was achieved with the commissioning of a new state-of-the-art P70HD tile-making technology at its Harare plant.
